The Self-Advocacy Program empowers individuals to build confidence, independence, and a strong voice in their lives. Through guided group sessions, participants take part in interactive discussions, and shared storytelling, reflecting on their experiences, learning from one another, and identifying what matters most to them.

The program focuses on developing self-determination, resilience, and personal growth by strengthening communication, decision making, and problem solving skills. Participants learn how to express their preferences, request the supports they need, and prepare for success in employment, community involvement, and independent living.

Opportunities to serve as group leaders, facilitate meetings, and collaborate with agency programs promote leadership and meaningful involvement. Advocacy in Action experiences allow participants to practice their skills in real-world settings, building self-assurance and responsibility. Through this program, participant voices help shape services, promote inclusion, and drive lasting change.
