About Us

The Arc of Wayne Foundation was created in 2013 with the mission to raise and manage funds to enhance the lives of the individuals supported by the Arc of Wayne. The foundation serves as the fundraising arm of the Arc of Wayne and 100% of every dollar raised directly impacts individuals served by the Arc of Wayne.

The Foundation provides funding through grants that support and enhance the programs and services of The Arc Wayne. Since the formation of the Foundation, more than $250,000 in grants have been awarded, including $45,000 this year. These funds have gone toward expanding clinical services, employment opportunities, and recreation and leisure activities.

The Foundation’s fundraising efforts include annual donation campaigns and fundraising events. In addition to corporate sponsorship and individual membership campaigns, the Foundation hosts several fundraising events throughout the year, including an annual golf tournament, the Color Wayne Fun Run and Toasting Possibilities, our craft beverage tasting event.

As a result of generous gifts to the Arc of Wayne Foundation, in late 2021 we were able to establish a food pantry which expressly serves any individual receiving services at the Arc of Wayne. Food insecurity remains a concern throughout our county and can be especially prevalent within the intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) population. We anticipate that this will remain a well utilized resource and we’re proud to have the opportunity to support our local community in this meaningful way.

The Arc of Wayne Foundation is in the unique position of having 0% overhead and administrative costs. When you give to the Foundation or attend one of our events, 100% of every dollar you donate directly impacts individuals served by The Arc Wayne.
